Stoli® Blueberi® - The Newest Arrival to the Award Winning Family of Premium Vodka Flavors
White Plains, N.Y., Feb. 27, 2006 – Pernod Ricard USA and Stolichnaya®, the genuine Russian vodka, proudly announce the arrival of Stoli Blueberi, the newest flavor to join the best selling family of imported vodka flavors in the U.S. Just in time for vodka's peak summer selling season, Stoli Blueberi is a refreshing, uniquely flavored vodka that is turning heads among restaurateurs, bartenders, retail outlets and consumers alike. Stoli Blueberi joins the award winning family of Stoli flavors that include Stoli Vanil®, Stoli Razberi®, Stoli Cranberi®, Stoli Strasberi®, Stoli Citros® and Stoli Ohranj®.
"The flavors category is driven by innovation," notes Susan Kilgore, Stolichnaya Brand Director, "and Stoli has traditionally lead the field in new flavor introductions." Recently conducted bartender focus groups and quantitative consumer research shows that Stoli is in sync with the market pulse. Bartenders selected blueberry as number one among eleven concepts tested and consumers seconded their vote. "It's a natural fit with our portfolio," adds Kilgore, "and a logical next step for Stoli, the flavor originator."
Stoli is supporting the launch of Stoli Blueberi with a full array of programming including a "Create a Stoli Blue Cocktail Contest" aimed at getting bartenders on board and building a collection of recipes. In addition, Stoli will offer on-premise consumer sampling (where legal), eye-stopping advertising and a host of on and off-premise items to help promote the new flavor. Available in four sizes – 1.75L, 1.0L, 750ml and 50ml – Stoli Blueberi will launch nationally this spring and will be line priced with the other Stoli flavors.
Stoli Blueberi is best served "ice cold." When chilled to the freezing point, Stoli Blue is brought to its ideal consistency and flavor, revealing the genuine quality of its Russian heritage and a superb blueberry taste. Stoli Blue can be enjoyed in a variety of cocktails including Stoli Blue Up, which combines one part Stoli Blueberi with vermouth. Simply rinse the glass with vermouth, add Stoli Blue and serve straight up with a blueberry garnish.
