Pernod Ricard USA Appoints National Wine & Spirits as its Distributor In Indiana
White Plains, N.Y. (March 13, 2006) – Pernod Ricard USA has named National Wine & Spirits (NWS), one of the Midwest's largest spirits and wine distributors, to distribute Pernod Ricard's full portfolio in Indiana, effective immediately.
Michel Bord, Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard USA, said NWS was selected because of its strong planning and execution capabilities, as well as its local market expertise. "National Wine and Spirits has been a strong partner for Pernod Ricard, and they are well positioned to drive our expanded roster of premium spirits and wine brands towards continued strong performance," he said.
The appointment of NWS is the latest in a series of distributor and broker appointments made by Pernod Ricard following the acquisition of Allied Domecq. "Pernod Ricard's distribution network has been key to the company's U.S. growth, and our recent realignment will further enhance our track record of successful partnerships," said Alain Barbet, President and Chief Operating Officer, Pernod Ricard USA.
The strengthened network also is designed to complement Pernod Ricard USA's proprietary ACE program, a collaborative process that shifts resources and accountability to the field, Barbet said.
