Pernod Ricard USA Assigns Seagram's Coolers Business
Purchase, N.Y., May 4, 2007 – Pernod Ricard USA announced today that High Falls Brewing Company will be appointed the exclusive distributor and marketer for Seagram’s Coolers in the United States, the Caribbean, and worldwide U.S. Military posts, effective July 1, 2007. High Falls also will assume full responsibility for the manufacturing and co-packing of these products, which are currently produced at Pernod Ricard’s Lawrenceburg, Ind., facility, as well as at two third-party co-packer locations.

High Falls will offer the benefit of a fully integrated operating structure, with marketing, sales and manufacturing consolidated under one company. United States Beverage, the exclusive distributor for Seagram’s Coolers since 2002, will continue to distribute and market the brand through the end of June. "USB has been a dedicated partner in a very competitive category, and we’d like to thank them for their past efforts,” Barbet said. “Under their direction, the brand benefited from innovative new flavor introductions as well as significant packaging improvements.”
The three companies will work together over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition.
