Hiram Walker® Iintroduces Two New Schnapps Flavors – White Peach and Blueberry Passion

Purchase, N.Y., (June 19, 2008) – Hiram Walker, the classic, diverse line of premium liqueurs made with all-natural flavors, is once again first to market with two refreshing and fruity new schnapps flavors – Hiram Walker Blueberry Passion Schnapps and Hiram Walker White Peach Schnapps.  Like all 14 schnapps flavors in the Hiram Walker family, Blueberry Passion and White Peach offer on-premise accounts and consumers alike a cost-effective way to add great flavor and color to both traditional and contemporary cocktails.

Hiram Walker Blueberry Passion offers a creamy, mouth-watering flavor, delicately sweet aroma and deep blueberry color that create cocktails that turn heads.  Hiram Walker White Peach is bursting with juicy, ripe white peach flavor, a deliciously fruity aroma, and a light peach color unlike traditionally clear peach schnapps.  “Timing is perfect for both our new blueberry passion flavored and white peach flavored schnapps,” said Cort Kinker, Hiram Walker Brand Director at Pernod Ricard USA.  “Recent research* shows the blueberry based flavors are the top new flavor choice of bartenders polled while retail consumers chose peach as their number two flavor just behind sour apple which is showing a decline in popularity and sales. The launch of White Peach and Blueberry Passion Schnapps is being supported with Hiram Walker’s new Simple-tini retail rack that features a recipe guide full of stylish, easy-to-mix Hiram Walker cocktails.  “According to AC Nielsen’s Trade Promotion Study (2007), displays with feature pricing increase sales by 186%,” added Kinker.  “Our new racks adorned with our delicious and colorful family of Hiram Walker Schnapps are truly traffic stopping, creating impulse purchase and driving incremental sales.”  Innovative counter unit displays, case talkers, neckers, case bins and bartender recipe cards will also be available to help promote the two new products.

Blueberry Passion and White Peach Schnapps are available in 50ml, 750ml and 1L sizes.
