Pernod Ricard USA Dominates Brown Spirits Category in 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition
WHITE PLAINS - Pernod Ricard USA won 13 awards in the brown spirits category and an additional seven awards in Scotch whisky. Three awards garnered in white spirits round out the total number of medals won by the company to 23. The 2005 San Francisco World Spirits Competition was held on March 12th and 13th at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in San Francisco. It is the first annual international spirits competition held in the United States where judging is based on blind tests and medals are awarded based solely on taste.
