"Russell's Reserve" 10-Year-Old Bourbon from Legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell Released
Lawrenceburg, KENTUCKY – Pernod Ricard USA announces the release of the new Russell's Reserve®, a 10-year-old, small batch bourbon created by Master Distiller Jimmy Russell. It was formulated with the help of his son Eddie Russell, a specialist in barrel science and maturation. Both men are long time veterans of the Austin Nichols Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
Russell's Reserve was created as the perfect 10-year-old bourbon. "Both Eddie and I believe 10 years is a wonderful stage of maturity for a bourbon," comments Jimmy. "At this age," adds Eddie, "it has a crispness and complexity of flavor, yet is memorably smooth." Released in a distinctive 750ml bottle, it will be available nationally in September.
A living legend in the crafting of whisky, Jimmy's legendary distilling knowledge and skill were essential in the creation of Russell's Reserve®. With help from Eddie, Jimmy was able to achieve a small batch bourbon that is rich in taste and tradition, yet mixable. Russell's Reserve® extends the tradition of excellence represented by the Austin Nichols Distillery and the Russell family name.
Russell's Reserve® has smooth caramel and vanilla flavors balanced with mellow, warm notes of white pepper and orange peel. Rich in toffee and subtle spice notes, this full-bodied bourbon is a beautiful deep amber color with the long lasting flavor of a truly remarkable bourbon.
